Job Title: Corporate Catering Sales Manager

Job Summary: The Corporate Catering Sales Manager is responsible for sales, customer relations, and growth of the Wawa Catering offer. Develop plans to secure new business and grow existing business that meets operational targets. Responsible for collaborating and advising on advertising, promotions, displays, and territory plans. Lead all day-to-day activities related to catering sales with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives.
Principal Duties:
- Build a comprehensive market strategy and manage a portfolio of existing customers and source new customers by developing strategic plans and strengthening relationships to achieve financial objectives, incremental profit and drive customer loyalty.
- Manage and develop a growth planning process to expand Wawa’s catering business. Perform detailed analysis to make recommendations on pricing, rebates, routing, and deliveries.
- Manage, gather, and evaluate market intelligence to ensure Wawa remains current on all emerging catering and delivery trends. Maintain and update market knowledge on Wawa’s chief competitors who engage in catering and delivery.
- Responsible for bids and contracts ensuring profitability goals are met in compliance with Wawa corporate standards
- Accountable for achieving catering P&L and budgetary goals
- Meet business development goals through market analysis, sales calling plan, performance of sales presentations, and follow-up to ensure catering deals are closed.
- Organize daily and weekly plans to meet with new and existing clients to solicit catering using techniques agreed upon by the catering leadership team.
- Act as a representative of the Wawa Brand as the central point of contact for all catering customers to provide extraordinary customer service experiences with each contact. Ensure compliance with the Wawa Values by effectively managing conflict and providing outstanding customer service for our customers.
- Collaborate with Catering Operations Manager, Catering Order Management, Catering Digital Solution Manager, Area Managers, Contact Center, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Quality Assurance to help drive growth, ensure quality and maintain Wawa’s brand standard. Provide feedback to Catering Operations team and associated teams to ensure excellent customer service.
- Manage department scheduling, including time-off requests approval and schedule adjustments due to contact volume in the event of resource shortages, develop a contingency plan to maintain adequate coverage levels.
- Provide overall direction, support and training for Catering Sales Associate(s). Monitor and assess individual work in accordance with high standards of excellence.
- Deliver catering orders within a set delivery time window and set up food according to Wawa standards or customer request.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards and follow all applicable traffic laws.

- Must be able to perform the following physical behaviors repetitively throughout a shift: standing, walking, handling, reaching horizontally and grasping firmly
- Must be able to perform the following physical behaviors frequently throughout a shift: reaching above the shoulder, reaching below the waist, climb stairs, pushing buttons, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling and pushing
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 40lbs for distances up to 25 feet
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 5 - 7 years of experience in a sales environment, B2B food service or catering required
- Experience managing a customer portfolio or territory, meeting annual business development targets, and managing portfolio attrition.
- Must have current catering book of business
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
- Drivers must have reliable car, with current inspection, suitable for transporting large quantities of food and knowledge of delivery area
- Valid Driver's License and Registration, with 3 years of clean driving history and proof of and acceptable amount of insurance
- Must successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Report and full Criminal Background check in accordance with applicable law and Company standards
